What is your story? What doesn't your resume tell us about you?
Growing up in such a small part of the world surrounded by fields and green has had a massive impact on my love for the environment, travel and photography. I have lived in Ireland my whole life amongst a huge family with a wide variety of opinions about travel and the environment. But these opinions are what have shaped me into the person I have become today.
How do you want to leave your impact on the world?
My dream is to encourage and help people to travel in a sustainable way. Travelling has changed my life and made a huge impact on the way I think. Small changes such as bringing a reusable water bottle with you can make such a huge impact on the places you travel to and the people you meet. A small change can be the beginning of something huge.
Describe your dream job or career.
My dream job is to work with National Geographic either being a photographer or a researcher. I have dreamed about it for as long as I remember. I became hugely interested in photography a couple of years ago and my love for animals has been huge ever since I was young. It's a big dream but I BELIEVE! I would also like to work as a teacher travelling around the world teaching young kids about their impact on the environment.
Describe a personal experience that has directly or indirectly influenced your career path.
I remember at school I was one of very few people who had an interest in science and the environment. I can remember clearly we had a rota for taking out the compost and was taken a back when most people never turned up to take it out when it was their turn but also never bothered to use the compost bin. That marked a massive point in my life where I thought "how can people not care?" It actually made a massive impact on my choice to study Environmental Science.

Tell us about your Capstone project experience and your journey, your team, the ideation and implementation.
My capstone experience was great. Our project was an 'Eco Gym'. It's funny because I actually have never done a group project at University yet. My group thought it was so crazy that I hadn't and they helped me so much through it. My team was a great group of girls with huge ideas! Our ideation came from our love of recycling energy and the gym! We implemented our idea with massive amounts of research on already set up eco gyms which unfortunately was not a thing here in Ireland, which was really disappointing for me.
How will you use this experience to advance your personal goals?
It's already made me keen to travel more and meet new people. It has also made me willing to learn more about other people's opinions. My work colleagues and friends can even tell you how much I talk about my experience and how I have changed since my experience. It's definitely made me want to achieve my goals even more now.
