"Definitely attending the GREEN Program in Iceland has influenced my career path. I was interested in sustainability and renewable energy before the program but going on it has validated this passion."

How do you want to leave your impact on the world?

I want to improve the lives of others while maintaining the quality of the Earth. I want to harness the power we get naturally from the Earth for human benefit without compromising the Earth or the people, animals, and plants that inhabit it. I want to give opportunities to others who may not have been as fortunate as me to have been given then. I want to educate the people of the world and help all to live happily.

What is your story? What doesn't your resume tell us about you?

I want to make a difference in the world by educating other about the wonders of renewable energy. I want to harness our Earth's natural renewable power and show others just how feasible it is and necessary in order to maintain the conditions of our Earth without further climate change.

Tell us about your leadership experiences.

I am a Senior Leader on the WPI Women's Softball team where we have made it to the top 16 teams in NCAA DIII the past 2 years. I am the Hospitality Chair for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers where I am helping to plan the Spring Regional Conference. I am organizing hotels, parking, food and transportation for all of our guests to make the event as accommodating as possible. I am also now a GREEN Influencer so I am making WPI students more aware of the GREEN Program and the amazing opportunities and experiences it has to offer.

Describe your dream job or career.

Work at a company who both installs and educates people about renewable energy. Travel throughout the world to help others lead a more sustainable life while coming together to agree on differences and make the lives of others better.

Describe a personal experience that has directly or indirectly influenced your career path.

Definitely attending the GREEN Program in Iceland has influenced my career path. I was interested in sustainability and renewable energy before the program but going on it has validated this passion. It was so awesome to work with like-minded people on a topic that we are also to eager to learn more about and teach others about as well.

Tell us about your Capstone project experience and your journey, your team, the ideation and implementation.

Our Capstone Project was entitled "Parks and Renewable Recreation." Our team came up with the idea to have a renewable energy playground where kids come to play and learn. Kids are not normally exposed to the idea of renewable energy unless their teacher has a class specifically on that topic so our park gives kids the opportunity to learn that they would not have otherwise. It shows kids at a younger age just how impactful climate change is and that we can use the Earth's natural sources to obtain power and not just fossil fuels which can harm the Earth. The experience was great working with such an enthusiastic team. I didn't feel as though I was doing work - I was enjoying myself while working on a project I am passionate about.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates because it is a feel good song that always puts me in a good mood!
