Overview

ELUME The Way, a B-Corp impact consulting firm, partnered with The GREEN Program to create transformative, global programs highlighting sustainability in action. The collaboration’s vision: empower entrepreneurs and business leaders with firsthand, international experiences that showcase sustainable business models and foster personal and professional growth.

This initiative launched a sustainable travel division within ELUME, “ELUME Travels”, curating impactful transformative journeys that blend inspiration, introspection, coaching, and exploration.

Goals

  • Curate Custom Programs: Develop unique educational experiences and integrate ELUME’s personalized coaching packages centered on successful global sustainability initiatives.
  • Global Learning: Provide ELUME and its clients with access to immersive, international case studies that inform practical business solutions.
  • Personal & Professional Growth: Design journeys that inspire, promote reflection, wellness, and nurture leadership skills for sustainable innovation.
  • Capstone for Impact: Equip participants with ELUME’s Minimal Viable Impact (MVI) framework, enabling them to generate measurable, positive change in their organizations.

Our Process

1. Collaborative Design
  • Worked closely with ELUME’s Founder & CEO to identify key learning objectives.
  • Collaboratively developed strategies for integrating curated travel experiences into ELUME’s consulting services.
  • Developed a bespoke curriculum around three pillars: InspirationIntrospection & Wellness, and Exploration.
2. Program Launch in Iceland
  • Selected Iceland as the inaugural destination due to its pioneering leadership in sustainable business practices and its vibrant ecosystem of environmentally conscious enterprises.
  • Integrated case studies, site visits, and dialogues with our local partners, entrepreneurs, and businesses to uncover challenges, successes, and innovative solutions.
  • Created space for structured reflection and mindfulness, wellness excursions, and unique outdoor excursions, helping participants recharge and clarify their purpose.
3. Capstone Development
  • Guided participants through ELUME’s hands-on process to design their Minimal Viable Impact (MVI) framework.
  • The MVI framework empowered participants to identify and implement practical sustainability solutions back home, bridging theory and action.
4. From Learning to Implementation
  • Upon returning, ELUME’s clients had 1:1 coaching with ELUME to continue the implementation of their MVIs. One client, Chelsea Amelia Cruz, National Community Relations Manager at Citi, integrated her MVI into a pilot initiative at Citi, enabling nonprofit affordable housing organizations to add residents’ rental payment histories to credit reports, improving financial health for families.

Outcomes

  • Transformative Experiences: Participants gained invaluable insights from Icelandic entrepreneurs who are leading the way in sustainability.
  • Personal Growth: Intentional introspection activities fostered clarity and innovative thinking.
  • Business Impact: Capstone projects led to real-world initiatives, most notably, Citi’s pilot program advancing financial inclusion.
  • Ongoing Partnership: Due to the program’s success, The GREEN Program is now the dedicated travel partner of ELUME Travels. Our collaboration continues, with bespoke programs in Iceland and upcoming experiences in Peru’s Sacred Valley, focused on Regenerative Agriculture and Andean Gastronomy.
