"Education is the most important tool we have against climate change, the more educated people are, the more likely they are to make a positive difference."

How do you want to leave your impact on the world?

I am hoping to help educate the public and future generations in the importance of living sustainably in a rapidly changing world and the reasons behind it.

What is your story? What doesn't your resume tell us about you?

I have always cared for animals and the environment, but as I entered college I became very passionate about the science of climate change and the important steps we must take to mitigate and adapt to the significant changes it will bring. Education is the most important tool we have against climate change, the more educated people are, the more likely they are to make a positive difference.

Describe your dream job or career.

My dream job would be helping or leading a group to create educational programs and materials that teach the public or children about climate change and their impact on it, as well as the future impacts it will have on everyone.

Tell us about your leadership experiences.

I am an EcoRep coordinator at Lehigh, meaning I coordinate and promote events, as well as attend and run them, for the peer-to-peer environmental education group on campus. I also have experience teaching, as an assistant dance teacher and coach for 3 years for ages 3-16.

Is there a particular company or organization that your heart is set on working for throughout your career?

I really would like to work for a well known organization creating educational materials such as NASA, the Smithsonian, Universities, or other such museums and insitutions

Tell us about your Capstone project experience and your journey, your team, the ideation and implementation.

My capstone project was a youth hostel near Yellowstone National Park that specialized in environmental education, clean energy, nature, and other related topics.

Is there a documentary or book that really changed the way you thought about something, or motivated you in a particular way?

I have a tendancy to fall in love with every book and documentary that I watch. They all become my favorite until I read or watch another. I most recently watched 'Before the Flood' with Leonardo DiCaprio and I found it amazing how he travelled to many countries to genuinely experience them before telling others about them. It is also a very important documentary as I believe it got the 'climate change' word out to many more people than most things reach.
