"I want to make an impact on the world and make it easier for people to adopt sustainable practices and use clean energy."
What's your story?
I absolutely love photography and star gazing. I am incredibly passionate about nature. More than just enjoying it, I think it has become a necessity for me and I am very passionate about it. I love wandering through nature, whether I'm trekking through it during a hike or am simply wandering aimlessly & exploring what the world has to offer. With that being said, learning about renewable energy and sustainability excites me. I am determined to build my career in this field and make people realize how real climate change is.
What's your dream job?
Ultimately, my dream job would be to work for Tesla. I want to make an impact on the world and make it easier for people to adopt sustainable practices and use clean energy.
Why do you believe that you are the next-generation pioneer of your industry?
I believe that I am the next generation pioneer to make an impact on the world because I truly care about earth and helping to do my part in save it's natural beauty. While it is important to learn about what current events and issues are plaguing our planet (ongoing pollution levels rising, for example), I want to get out into the world and do my part to make a real change. I want to make the world a better place to live.
What is your biggest take-away from your GREEN program experience?
There were so many things to take away from this program, all of which is incredibly valuable to me. Whether it was meeting some of the most amazing, like-minded people or visiting some of the coolest power plants (I specifically loved the bio fuel plant), The GREEN program constantly amazed me from the first day until the end. All of the activities that we did - hiking, facility tours & visits, snorkeling, and everything in between - has brought me closer to nature and has strengthened my desire to save it!
How are you leveraging your experience with GREEN?
Firstly, it was an amazing experience in and of itself to have met so many open-minded and like-minded people through this program. Needless to say, I itend to stay in touch with my group of GREEN students in the future. Moving forward, not only do I plan to make people aware of this program for fellow students like myself who are passionate about renewable energy and sustainability, but my experiences with networking with professors and industry professionals during my time in Iceland will certainly benefit me.
What's your best piece of advice that you could offer a student interested in sustainable development?
The world really needs you! Sustainable development & clean energy is the best field to chose right now. It's time to stop thinking and start acting together.
