What is your story? What doesn't your resume tell us about you?

I like to travel (who doesn't?). I enjoy playing the piano. Game of Thrones is my all-time fav show although I also am a big fan of New Girl and Silicon Valley. I enjoy very "different" music and I also don't know what genre my music would be classified under.. alternative rock? indie pop? One of those weird, modern ones. I speak a lick of Spanish. I like plants. Especially succulents.

Describe your dream job or career.

I would love to work in impoverished countries and help them with the essentials they need live clean, sustainable lives.

Tell us about your leadership experiences.

I was in SWE for most of my Freshman and Sophomore years at UNH and was part of their Outreach team. With this, I went to a local elementary school once a week and taught lessons/did activities on different types of engineering with 3rd-6th grade girls. I was also a co-captain of my highschool varsity field hockey team and have been the captain of several intramural sports (soccer, broomball, inner-tube water polo) throughout the last 3 years at UNH.

Tell us about your Capstone project experience and your journey, your team, the ideation and implementation.

The Capstone project that we created focused on a non-profit recycling program for the city of Cusco. The goal of this program would be to educate the people on the importance of recycling and HOW you can recycle (we would do this by visiting local schools, district meetings, etc). We also had planned to implement different ways the people could recycle including providing stands around the city where the citizens could exchange empty plastic bottles for taxi vouchers. We also discussed providing a truck route for recycling to get picked up on a weekly basis.

How will you use this experience to advance your personal goals?

When discussing and presenting this project, I felt like I was implementing the project in reality. This passion for this topic helped me understand what I want to do in the future - help impoverished countries reach essential, sustainable solutions!
